The 2nd ‘Greening the European Neighbourhood Policy’ Seminar
CAPACITY BUILDING
The Heinrich Böll Foundation, in cooperation with WWF, is organising its second ‘Greening the European Neighbourhood’ Policy Seminar from 25 November until 3 December 2006. This event builds upon last years successful seminar by providing a forum for previous and new participants from local NGOs inside ENP-countries to come together and share their experiences of the progress and development of the ENP, its environmental dimension, as well as to discuss their own individual work in their respective countries. As such, one of the main objectives of the ‘Greening the ENP’ project is to establish and strengthen cross-border/regional cooperation between NGO’s on the issues of environmental protection, sustainable development, and civil society participation. It aims to provide participants with the tools to influence and particularly partake in the ENP process as well as to foster and strengthen the participant’s links with the EU institutions through meetings with parliamentarians and other EU officials.
